MARINA PUNAT was founded in the year 1964 and is the oldest marina on te eastern coast of the Adtriatical sea. Marina Punat is situated in the peaceful small town of Punat in a naturally protected bay on the southwestern part of the island Krk. Marina has a quality system certificate according to the international norm ISO 9001:2008 – for services in nautical tourism, including entertainment vessels and yacht repair. In the year 2010 Marina Punat obtained the certificate for the management of environmental protection, according to the norm ISO 14001:2004. Many times Marina Punat was awarded as the best Croatian marina.
Open: year-round.
Berths: 850 in the sea and a further 400 spaces available on land as well as 4 dry-docks and an indoor boat storage for smaller boats. All berths and the area on land, including the service area and the dry-docks are supplied with water and electricity.
Facilities include: marina office, exchange office, assistance at the piers, restaurants, buffet – pizzeria-coffe bar, luxuriously furnished hotel, tennis-playgrounds, internet-cornet for free, WLAN covering the entire marina, supermarket, nautical gear shop, sanitary facilities (WC and showers), laundry facilities, parking for 500 cars, complete repair/maintaining/servicing workshops, cranes with lifting capacities of 5 and 10 t, 50 t and 100 t travle lifts, 50 t, 150 t, 450 t and 600 t slipways, air-conditioned pain shop, rental of vessels, taxi, rent-a-car, rental of garages and boxes for storageing the navigational equipment, meteorological station, fuel supply, Rescue and Assistance at Sea base, fire-fighting vehicle and vessel, video and electronic monitoring of arrival and departure, mobile waste holding tank pump, a high level of environmental protection and security. A fuel station is located 2 nm from the marina in Krk town harbor.
Communications are good due to the proximity of Rijeka Airport, not far from Omišalj on the island Krk. The island is connected by bridge to the mainland and has regular ferry connections to the island of Cres and Rab. Very good, new highways are almost reaching the island.
